Planning on attending? The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 pm. Please report to Shaw Theater no later than 3:00 pm. This will give you time to check in, hear important instructions, and prepare for the ceremony. Photographers will be there to take pictures of graduates, and more information on the purchase of photos will be provided at check-in prior to the ceremony.
Inviting guests? Tickets are not required for audience seating and ample parking is available free of charge for you and your guests. Seating at Miller Auditorium will begin at 3:00 pm.
Need a cap, gown, and tassel? Caps, gowns, and tassels are sold through the KVCC Bookstore, rm. 1100.
You may purchase graduation items at any time from the bookstore up until the Friday before commencement. Fees must be payable at the time of purchase. The price of a cap, gown, and tassel is $32.00 (plus tax). If you have questions, please contact the Bookstore: (269) 488-4030.
Graduating with honors? Students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher will receive a white cord (no charge) at check-in just prior to the ceremony. Please note: your GPA will not include grades for the current semester.
Phi Theta Kappa member? A tassel, stole, and/or cord may be worn with your cap and gown. All are available for purchase through the KVCC Bookstore. Fees must be payable at the time of purchase. Prices are listed below. If you have questions, please contact Sue Hills: (269) 488-4349.

Your official diploma will be sent to you after the final audits have been completed to the address you have on file with the Admissions, Records and Registration Office, Room 9140.
Diplomas will be ready for distribution June 2016.
Note: Kalamazoo valley Community College holds two commencement ceremonies each year. All August graduates are invited to the December ceremony.
