April Commencement Ceremony

Kalamazoo Valley Community College is proud of your academic success
and invites you to celebrate your commencement with us on

Sunday, April 30, 2017
Miller Auditorium, Western Michigan University

Planning on attending? The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 pm. Please report to Shaw Theater no later than 3:00 pm. This will give you time to check in, hear important instructions, and prepare for the ceremony. Photographers will be there to take pictures of graduates, and more information on the purchase of photos will be provided at check-in prior to the ceremony.

Inviting guests? Tickets are not required for audience seating and ample parking is available free of charge for you and your guests. Seating at Miller Auditorium will begin at 3:30 pm.

Need a cap, gown, and tassel? Caps, gowns, and tassels are sold through the KVCC Bookstore, rm. 1100.
A representative from Jostens will be on campus Tuesday, April 4 from 11:30 AM - 6:30 PM and Wednesday, April 5 from 11:30 AM - 4:30 PM. However, you may purchase graduation items at any time from the bookstore up until the Friday before commencement. Please make sure to sign our RSVP list when purchasing your cap and gown. Graduating with honors? Students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher will receive a white cord (no charge) at check-in just prior to the ceremony. Please note: your GPA will not include grades for the current semester.

Phi Theta Kappa member? A tassel, stole, and/or cord may be worn with your cap and gown. All are available for purchase through the KVCC Bookstore. If you have questions about PTK membership, please contact Meredith Mancuso: (269) 373-7809.
